Ultimate job - testing holiday hotel swimming pools

Just read about Tommy Lynch who works for TUI travel and jets around the globes package holiday hotspots testing swimming pools in holiday hotels.

In 2008 he has visited the Costa Del Sol, Tenerife, Lanzarote, Majorca, Egypt, Turkey, Cyprus, Algarve, Dominican Republic and Mexico to check the fun rides for height, speed and safety. While next year he will sliding down water chutes in Rhodes Greece, Turkey, Florida, Jamaica and Ibiza

Good bit of PR this at a critical time of the year for holiday companies, this story has made it into The Mirror, The Telegraph, Daily Mail and HotelJungle.co.uk !

I wonder if he has been to see the hotel with the world's biggest pool ?

Largest Pool in the World

Surprising it's not in Dubai. Check out the pictures and video of the world's largest swimming pool. The lagoon in San Alfonso del Mar resort at Algarrobo, Chile measures 1,013 metres in length, covers an area of eight hectares (20 acres), contains 250,000 cubic meters of water and is navigable in small boats - You will have to swim around 2km to complete a single lap.

The pool is salt water which started us thinking, as it's next to the ocean, what's the point?! Well, it must be cleaner, warmer, and a bit safer than the ocean. Anyone know where the largest freshwater pool is ?
